SM TOWN Live in Singapore

SM Town Live in Singapore was absolutely magical. I had been waiting for this since forever and it felt like a dream come true. One that I didn’t believe was actually possible when I started my fan girl journey. So it was with excited and happy hearts that Doreen and I went got SM Town Live in Singapore!!

It started off terribly. The queues were horrible, and too many EXO fans were everywhere. We had to literally fight our way in. I was separated with my friends and we were afraid we were going to end up in different mosh pits. Luckily we ended up together, but after getting tagged we escaped the queue to go get a drink. We came back to a slight drizzle and a large space where we cut our way in as there was no shelter. Hence, we got to stand in the rain for quite a bit, complete with lightning and thunder a full blown rainstorm. Shivering in our raincoats, huddled under our umbrella holding heavy bags and our fanboards. Luuckily, the rain stopped in time for the concert to begin.

When the concert started it was amazing. Getting to see all these amazing people upclose, knowing that they were real. Knowing that they were performing their hearts out, putting in their best to ensure the fans enjoyed themselves really made me feel touched.

I have my biases, but I really couldn’t decide my favourite performance of the night. I loved them all. I had seen most of them individually at separate events before but seeing them together, made the night magical.

I just want to gush on and on about how Changmin was all too charismatic on stage and made me fall in love with him all over again, or how friendly Tiffany was like, exactly like a Disney princess, or how pretty Yoona and Jessica are in real life, and how I was so glad to see Kangin come back together as part of Super Junior again, or how splendid Jonghyun’s body has turned out and how precious the Super Junior boys were being, acting there this was their concert at the end. OH, AND WE SAW QUEEN BOA LIVE!

My money is spent on having great experiences, and this was no doubt one of them. Every time I see Super Junior, or TVXQ or SNSD perform live, I am reminded of why I love them so much, and why my love for them is all worth it.

They have helped me get through life in their own ways, putting smiles on my face when I needed it, giving me the motivation to carry on and most of all, having something to look forward to in the future. I have always felt grateful to them for so many reasons, and getting to see the people who have such a big part in my life in ways they never know, it really means a lot to me. It seemed so impossible at one point, and getting to attend a SM Town concert just proves to me that I am unlocking my achievements one at a time, no matter how impossible they might seem now.

It was a wonderful concert. Mood didn’t get dampened by the rain, there were fabulous pyrotechnics, water fountains and most importantly of all, the people of SM TOWN. Fandoms came together to cheer their favourite idols working side by side. A concert I will never forget.

No pictures as Doreen and I were too busy spending out time enjoying the performances,waving lightsticks and fanboards at out idols, singing along and cheering for them.

We are BACK!

While we were on hiatus, a lot has happened in the world of Kpop. Our favourite oppas here at Super-Kpop, Super Junior, has released a brand new album. Sexy, Free & Single which has been repackaged into SPY. We loved Sexy, Free & Single. While we already know they were Sexy, knowing that they were also Single just gave fangirls out there exploding ovaries. Come, let's all appreciate some good Super Junior together.
  I know its old, but I dont care because they produce timeless stuff. While we were religiously listening to Super Junior's new album on repeat, Some members have decided to reward our dedication with magazine shoots!

Meanwhile, Psy has gone viral with Gangnam Style.

That song is an earworm! I cant get it out of my head for quite some period of time afte I heard it.

And a most exciting news event, Hwayoung getting kicked out of T-ara, rumoured bullying news. Not going to elaborate here because it is a really really long story with lots of juicy bits here, there, everywhere!

2 Singaporean girls have also debuted in the world of Kpop under the group name Skarf with Alpha Ent.

I have to say, it is pretty forgettable, run of the mill stuff. Admittedly, Tasha is quite pretty. I don't know, I can't see them being as popular as 2NE1 who has a very strong style, or SNSD which are really to pretty to be compared with. Plus, not being very good at korean is quite disadvantageous.

SUPER SHOW 4

We have been busy busy and there is a lack of posts for the longest time. Hate schoolwork, projects and tests forever!

Anyway, the point of the post is not an apology for no posts but...

We went to Super Show and it was freaking awesome!

We were at the mosh pits and security was pretty darn strict there so no good photos sadly. (you can go youtube fancams by yourself right?) Both of us are suffering from Super Junior withdrawal symptoms right now and all we can do is spam their songs over and over again. Im so cool, party like a superstar~

You cannot believe how close we were to the boys. There were some pretty memorable moments like Siwon taking off his shirt in front of us, seeing his rockhard abs up close was just, fuckyeah! and Sungmin, Leeteuk and all that waving and smiling at us. Did I mention Henry picked up the flower which Doreen threw? and Donghae picked up the rabbit cap which Mandy (Doreen's sister) threw? Money well spent I say!

There was less shaking hands this time around though and no water guns (but there were water jets on stage! insane right!) probably because for the last Super Show, we totally witnessed Kyuhyun being molested to the max by fans, refusing to let go of his hands. Didn't get to touch Donghae this time round but well, seeing him this close again, dancing and everything is more than enough.

One thing I really enjoyed about SS4 more so than the rest is the fan support. The fan support this time was amazing. The banners and fanchants were so much in sync and I can really feel the closeness we ELFs have more so this time than in the past. Last time it was just fans mumbling "Sarang Haeyo Lee Donghae" and the rest just sort of trailed off if you know what I mean. (Eunhyuk is just adorable at this part, he just had to shout out "Sarang Haeyo Lee Hyuk Jae" for himself. AWWW) And everyone held up the banners properly so when you looked across it really is just, "I AM SO PROUD TO BE PART OF THIS FANDOM!!!" So pretty I tell you, especially during storm, when we exchanged our sapphire blue lightsticks for white lights. Don't know if I am being bias, but it looked prettier than the Shining Star fan moment for SS2 Malaysia.

Super Junior really is the most adorable band around. Which other kpop band has a concert in silly costumes, prancing around? And also shoots funny videos as a prelude to their comic get ups? Kisses each other onstage and tease each other in mock gestures? Finds a girlfriend from the audience to sing? (Well we admins have a pretty funny story about that but it's not for appropiate for sharing here) Still manages to look handsome and impossible suave doing their dance moves?

I really had fun dancing and singing along to all their songs. Enjoying Super Junior right in front of my eyes. Something I never thought would be possible 3 years ago. One tiny detail I would like to complain about, would be that they have stopped singing songs like Happiness and Marry U, or She's Gone and First Snow. But the solos everyone had, and the longest concert I have ever been to at 4 hours makes up for it all.

Was it better than Super Show 2 and 3? Well it's hard to say, concert was amazing, fabulous and epic but the absence of Heechul and Kangin, makes it difficult for me to go all out and say SS4 was really the best.

Nevertheless, Thank You Super Junior. I love all of them sfm.
